How to play

1. Pick a mode: real things, movies, anime or video games. A game has five rounds.
2. Something heavy sits on one side of the seesaw. Stack copies of something smaller on the other side, halves allowed, until you think it balances.
3. Weigh it to see the real answer. The closer your guess, the more points: up to 100 a round and 500 a game.

What is How Heavy?

A free weight guessing game for the browser. Each round puts something heavy on a seesaw, like a blue whale, the Eiffel Tower or Bowser, and you guess how many of something else it takes to balance it. There are about 200 things from real life, movies, anime and video games, plus a daily challenge and leaderboards.

How is my guess scored?

By how many times off it is, so guessing twice too many costs as much as guessing half as many. Spot on is 100 points, 2× off is 67, 4× off is 33 and 8× off or more is 0.

What is the daily challenge?

Every day (UTC) everyone gets the same five real-world rounds, with one try each. Your score goes on that day’s leaderboard.

How heavy is a blue whale?

Around 150 tonnes, which makes it the heaviest animal that has ever lived. That’s about as much as 115 Toyota Corollas.
