Luffy weighs about 64 kg (141 lb) by our estimate. Eiichiro Oda has never given an official weight for him, only his height: 172 cm (5 ft 8 in) before the timeskip and 174 cm (5 ft 9 in) after it. 64 kg is what a lean 174 cm fighter weighs, and it is the number most fan wikis use.

Where the number comes from
Oda answers reader questions in the SBS pages of the One Piece volumes, and he has given Luffy’s height twice. In the volume 10 SBS a reader asked for the heights of the main five, and Oda listed Luffy at 172 cm, between Nami (169 cm) and Usopp (174 cm). In the volume 69 SBS he gave the crew’s profiles after the two-year timeskip: Luffy is 19 and 174 cm. The Blue Deep: Characters World guidebook repeats the same profile. None of these give a weight.
So 64 kg is our estimate. A healthy, lean adult has a body mass index of about 21, and weight is that index times height squared: 21.1 × 1.74 × 1.74 comes to about 64 kg. The same build at his pre-timeskip 172 cm gives about 62.5 kg. Fan wikis also list Luffy at 64 kg (141.1 lb), but without citing any official source.
A skinny glutton
Luffy is drawn thin, and the story plays on that: he is an enormous eater despite his skinny look, able to swallow a fish bones and all.
For comparison, Dragon Ball’s official guidebooks list Goku at 175 cm and 62 kg, a body mass index of about 20. Our estimate puts Luffy a couple of kilograms heavier at almost the same height, which fits a fighter who trained since childhood under Garp. Oda has not published a weight for any of the Straw Hats, so the rest of the crew are only heights too: Zoro is 181 cm, Usopp 176 cm and Nami 170 cm after the timeskip.
Gears, balloons and full stomachs
Most of Luffy’s transformations add size, not mass. His Gomu Gomu no Fusen (Balloon) fills him with air, and Gear 4’s Boundman starts with him blowing air into his muscles. Air weighs very little, so these bigger forms should weigh about the same as Luffy himself. Gear 5 changes his look and powers, and no source gives it a weight either.
The exception is Tankman: Manpuku Version, the Gear 4 form he used against Charlotte Cracker. He fought by eating Cracker’s biscuit soldiers for 11 hours, until his body was enormous and bloated, then used the extra bulk to launch Cracker with a cannonball attack. Gear 4 speeds up his metabolism, so he burned off the biscuits shortly afterwards.
Weight even comes up as a rule once. At the Corrida Colosseum in Dressrosa, Luffy picks a full suit of Viking armor and is told it is over the weight limit for protective gear, so he has to take most of it off.
About 141 lb, by our estimate of 64 kg. There is no official figure in pounds or kilograms.
How tall is Luffy?
174 cm (5 ft 9 in) after the timeskip, according to the volume 69 SBS. Before the timeskip Oda gave 172 cm (5 ft 8 in) in the volume 10 SBS.
Is there an official weight for Luffy?
No. Oda has given his height, age, birthday (May 5) and blood type, but never his weight. The 64 kg seen on fan sites is an estimate, like ours.
Does being made of rubber make Luffy lighter?
Nothing in the story says so. His body stretches and bounces like rubber, but like every Devil Fruit user he sinks in the sea and cannot swim.
Who is heavier, Luffy or Goku?
Probably Luffy, but only just. Goku’s official weight is 62 kg at 175 cm, while our estimate for Luffy is 64 kg at 174 cm. Since Luffy has no official weight, it can’t be settled for sure.
