Dragonite weighs 210 kg (463 lb), according to its official Pokédex entry, and stands 2.2 m (7 ft 3 in) tall. That is its regular form, and every game lists the same figure. Mega Dragonite, added in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, is heavier at 290 kg (639.3 lb) with the same height.
The figure is the Pokédex weight that the games and pokemon.com give for Dragonite: 210 kg, or 463.0 lb, at a height of 2.2 m (7 ft 3 in). Scarlet and Violet, Sword and Shield and Legends: Z-A all list the same numbers.
Mega Dragonite, introduced in Pokémon Legends: Z-A (2025), keeps the same 2.2 m height but weighs 290 kg (639.3 lb), 80 kg more. Like Dragonite it is a Dragon and Flying type.
Dragonite does not appear in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the game where individual Pokémon of one species come in different sizes and weights, so there are no small, large or Alpha weights for it.
Growing from Dratini
Dratini is a 1.8 m long serpent weighing just 3.3 kg. At level 30 it becomes Dragonair, which more than doubles in length to 4.0 m but still weighs only 16.5 kg. At level 55 Dragonair evolves into Dragonite.
The last step is the big one. Dragonite is shorter than Dragonair, at 2.2 m against 4.0 m, yet about 13 times heavier. A full grown Dragonite weighs as much as roughly 64 Dratini.
Flying at 210 kg
Several Pokédex entries say it can fly in spite of its big and bulky body, and that it circles the globe in just 16 hours. The Earth is about 40,075 km around the equator, so that works out to roughly 2,500 km/h, about twice the speed of sound at sea level.
For comparison, the heaviest flying bird on record is a kori bustard of 18.14 kg (40 lb), shot in South Africa in 1936. Dragonite is more than eleven times that. The largest flying animal known, the pterosaur Quetzalcoatlus, is estimated at about 200 to 250 kg, close to Dragonite, but it had a wingspan of around 10 to 11 m. Dragonite’s wings are drawn far smaller than its body.
What its weight does in battle
Low Kick and Grass Knot hit harder the heavier the target is, and reach their maximum power of 120 against anything over 200 kg. Dragonite clears that line by only 10 kg, so it always takes the full-power version. Mega Dragonite, at 290 kg, does too.
Heavy Slam and Heat Crash compare the user’s weight with the target’s. A 460 kg Snorlax is a little over twice as heavy as Dragonite, so its Heavy Slam hits Dragonite with 60 power. Mega Evolving changes that: Mega Dragonite weighs 290 kg, so the same move drops to 40.
Dragonite weighs 463.0 lb, which is 210 kg. Mega Dragonite weighs 639.3 lb (290 kg).
How tall is Dragonite?
Dragonite is 2.2 m (7 ft 3 in) tall. Mega Dragonite is the same height, and both are shorter than Dragonair, which is 4.0 m long.
