Shrek weighs 204 kg, or 450 lb. That figure comes from his character bio in the Shrek 2 video game (2004), which also lists him at 8 ft tall. The films never give a weight, and other sources put him nearer 7 ft, which at the same build would make him about 137 kg (300 lb).

The Shrek 2 video game, published by Activision in 2004 for GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC, has a storybook of character bios. Shrek’s page lists “Height: 8′” and “Weight: 450 lbs”, next to his health points and attack stats. 450 lb is 204 kg. We found no weight for him in the films or anywhere else official, so this game card is the only number there is.
The same book gives two more useful figures. Human Shrek, who rides Donkey as a white stallion in the game, is listed at 6 ft 7 in and 420 lb (190 kg). Donkey himself is 5 ft 6 in and 150 lb (68 kg), so ogre Shrek is exactly three Donkeys.
The game’s 8 ft is on the tall side. The Shrek Wiki lists him at 213 cm (7 ft), and We Got This Covered reports that Andrew Adamson, who directed the first two films, put him somewhere between 7 and 8 ft. For scale, Mike Myers, who voices him, is 5 ft 6 in.
Height matters a lot for weight, because a body that grows taller also gets wider and deeper, so weight rises with the cube of height. A 7 ft Shrek with the same shape is 7/8 as tall, and 7/8 cubed is about 0.67. That gives roughly 137 kg (300 lb), our estimate for the shorter Shrek.
Yes, if anything it is modest. Take a 6 ft man weighing 190 lb (86 kg) and scale him up to 8 ft: that is 4/3 as tall, and 4/3 cubed is 2.37, which lands right on 450 lb. So the game gives Shrek the build of an ordinary man blown up to ogre size, and Shrek is rounder than an ordinary man.
The human Shrek figure is the odd one. Shrinking ogre Shrek to 6 ft 7 in by the same rule gives about 250 lb (114 kg), and the human Shrek on screen looks slimmer, not stockier. The game’s 420 lb is far more than that maths suggests.
Shrek is also small for an ogre. In Shrek Forever After he is dwarfed by the ogres of the resistance, and Brogan, its second in command, is much taller and bigger than him. A typical ogre in that film would weigh well over 204 kg.
